Second Form
A collection built from what already existed but reworked, reassembled and redefined.
This project explores Upcycling not as a trend, but as a design language rooted in reconstruction.
Concept Statement
“SECOND FORM” challenges the idea of newness.
Garments are created from thrifted pieces, repurposed knits, and deadstock fabrics each carrying visible traces of their past.
Instead of hiding imperfections, the design amplifies them turning seams, joins and inconsistencies into defining features.
Design Approach:-
• Upcycled Construction: garments built from multiple sources, not a single fabric
• Deconstruction & Reassembly: cutting, splicing, layering to create new forms
• Material Contrast: mixing textures and weights without aiming for harmony
• Visible Process: exposed seams, raw edges and unfinished details
Visual Direction
• Real, unpolished environments
• Direct flash photography nothing softened
• Static, detached model presence
• Contrast between controlled garments and uncontrolled spaces
These garments are not designed to fit into a perfect world. They exist in tension between past and present, waste and value, structure and breakdown.
Nothing new. Everything transformed.
“SECOND FORM is not about creating more but it’s about rethinking what already exists.”Nothing new. Everything transformed.
